Twigfarm’s AI Solution Helps Bridge Cultural Gaps for Foreign Residents

The Jecheon Cultural Foundation in North Chungcheong Province announced on July 5 that it is providing multilingual subtitles for its 2025 YouTube Project: Culture & Arts RO videos to enhance cultural accessibility for foreign residents living in the city.

Since April, the foundation has been offering subtitles in Vietnamese, Russian, Chinese, and English for the Culture & Arts RO video series. The subtitles were produced using Twigfarm’s AI-powered video localization solution, LETR WORKS, and were reviewed with the help of foreign residents affiliated with the Jecheon Multicultural Family Support Center and the Overseas Korean Support Center. Their participation helped improve both the accuracy and cultural relevance of the translations.

A foundation representative stated, “We aim to help foreign residents enjoy Jecheon’s cultural and artistic content without language barriers, and we will continue to collaborate with partners to provide accessible multilingual video content.”

As of December 2023, Jecheon is home to 3,174 foreign residents, making up approximately 2.47% of the city’s total population.
