Leading AI localization company joins forces to accelerate the global expansion of K-FAST through cutting-edge dubbing and video AI technologies
Twigfarm, a leading AI-driven content localization company, has officially joined the “Global K-FAST Alliance,” a public-private initiative launched by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Information and Communication Industry Promotion Agency (KAIT). The alliance brings together major players in media, platform, AI technology, and policy—including Samsung Electronics, KBS, CJ ENM, and New ID—to support the global rollout of Korea-style Free Ad-supported Streaming TV (K-FAST).
Twigfarm's inclusion in the alliance marks the recognition of its innovative AI dubbing technology, which plays a crucial role in overcoming language and cultural barriers in global content distribution. The company’s integrated video localization platform, LETR WORKS, offers end-to-end services including speech recognition, translation, subtitling, dubbing, video enhancement, and project management—transforming how video content is produced and delivered worldwide.
K-FAST (Korea-Free Ad-supported Streaming TV) is a next-generation streaming platform model, based on ad-supported live TV streaming. Unlike traditional subscription-based OTT models, FAST offers scheduled programming with zero subscription fees, generating revenue through targeted advertising. The FAST market is rapidly expanding in North America and Europe, and K-FAST represents South Korea’s strategic initiative to enter and lead this global trend.
The Global K-FAST Alliance aims to:
As part of this effort, Twigfarm will contribute its expertise in AI dubbing and localization technologies, helping K-media become more accessible and engaging to global audiences.
Twigfarm’s participation in the alliance goes beyond technology deployment—it also brings research-driven contributions to the evolving K-FAST ecosystem. The company will lead and collaborate in various applied R&D projects, including:
Through these initiatives, Twigfarm aims to validate how generative AI can fundamentally transform the economic and creative model of global content distribution.
“Localization is no longer just about translation—it’s about building deep cultural resonance,” said a Twigfarm spokesperson. “We are honored to be part of the Global K-FAST Alliance, and we look forward to helping K-media reach and resonate with audiences around the world.”
Twigfarm plans to actively participate in consortium-led pilot programs, international media expos, technical conferences, and specialized FAST channel development in collaboration with other alliance members.
