2025-11-07

SEOUL, November 7, 2025 — The Seoul Business Agency (SBA) hosted the “2025 BIXPO Hyper-Innovation Open Innovation Meetup” on November 7 as part of its Hyper-Innovation Startup 1000+ Project. The event took place during BIXPO (Bitgaram International Electric Power Technology Expo), organized by Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO), and served as a dynamic networking platform connecting promising startups with major public and private corporations.

The Hyper-Innovation Startup 1000+ Project is an open-innovation program that selects high-potential startups in ten frontier technology sectors — including system semiconductors, bio & health, future mobility, eco-energy, robotics, big data & AI, cybersecurity & networks, aerospace & marine, next-generation nuclear power, and quantum technology. Through this program, SBA bridges startups with large and mid-sized corporations to foster co-growth and joint commercialization by combining startups’ agility and technical innovation with corporate resources and infrastructure.

BIXPO, first launched by KEPCO in 2015, is a global exhibition that showcases next-generation energy technologies leading the world’s power industry. Since 2024, its scope has expanded to include robotics, artificial intelligence, and battery technologies, further reflecting convergence across industries. The 2024 event attracted 152 domestic and international companies and more than 22,000 industry participants.

At this year’s Meetup, SBA introduced 29 outstanding startups across six advanced technology categories designed to meet the needs of large and public enterprises:

  • Energy: CabinLab, ATV Lab, Cloud&Co, Rumpleer, Enerchi Energy, Lambda Micro, Raven Materials, VPPLab
  • Artificial Intelligence: Twigfarm, Tanalysis, Shareflat, Adialab, Bros, Enerzy, Nota, Sagak
  • Future Mobility: DeltaX, Mobawheel, Korea Simulator, Foscore, Mona, StarCorp, Viewrun Technology
  • Green Tech: New Horizon, Humaster, EUCNC, Abrams
  • Next-Generation Nuclear: Sangrim MSP
  • Aerospace: GT Aerospace

SBA also organized cooperative programs with KEPCO and leading commercialization agencies, supporting startups in developing Proof-of-Concept (PoC) collaborations and identifying joint projects in energy and related sectors. The event further encouraged participants to share insights into global energy industry trends and commercialization strategies, with additional sessions for networking and in-depth discussions.

“It was an invaluable opportunity to present Twigfarm’s vision of breaking language and cultural barriers through AI-powered translation, dubbing, and media creation technologies,” said Baek Sun-Ho, CEO of Twigfarm. “We had productive meetings with several major corporations to explore collaboration and partnership opportunities. Thanks to SBA’s well-organized structure and focused discussions, multiple follow-up meetings are already underway. We believe this event will go beyond simple networking and evolve into meaningful, long-term partnerships.”

Park Kyung-Rak, Team Leader of SBA’s Hyper-Innovation Startup 1000+ Open Innovation Program, added:

“It was truly meaningful to participate in BIXPO — a key event driving Korea’s energy industry — and to introduce high-potential startups to the market while facilitating open innovation with large and public enterprises. SBA will continue to support these startups in achieving successful commercialization and scaling up their businesses.”
